Cohocton: Travel advisory for upcoming paving

TRAVEL ADVISORY
State Route 415
Town of Cohocton, Steuben County

The New York State Department of Transportation today announced paving work will begin on State Route 415 in the Town of Cohocton.  Work will occur on the roadway beginning just south of the Village of Cohocton beginning on Monday, May 8th.  The scope of the project includes maintenance paving repairs to 1.3 miles of State Route 415 and is scheduled to be completed by Thursday, May 11th, weather permitting.
While the paving is underway, traffic will be held to one lane with alternating directions of traffic.  Variable message signs at the site will provide advance notice of the work, and will direct drivers through the work zone once work has begun.

Motorists are reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.  In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
