Dansville woman accused of multiple felony drug crimes

The Livingston County Drug Task Force reports the arrest of a Dansville resident on multiple felony charges following an investigation into methamphetamine sales in the Village of Dansville.

On March 27, 2024, members of the Livingston County Drug Task Force, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and the Dansville Police Department executed a search warrant on William Street in the Village of Dansville. Seized during the search warrant was approximately two ounces of methamphetamine.

Following the search warrant, 20 year-old Jasmine Corbin was arrested by members of the Sheriff’s Office and the Dansville Police Department. Corbin was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree (a class A-II felony), two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (class B felonies), Criminal Nuisance in the First Degree (class E Felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree (class A misdemeanor) and two counts of Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the Second Degree (Class A misdemeanors).

Corbin was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. The District Attorney’s Office was contacted in regards to bail due to the felony level charges. The District Attorney’s Office recommended bail be set at $10,000 cash/credit or $30,000 secured bond.

Corbin was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LC-CAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of North Dansville Justice Werth. The Judge did remand Corbin to the custody of the Sheriff with bail set at $5,000 cash/credit or $10,000 secured bond.

The Livingston County Public Defender’s Office was present and represented Corbin at the court arraignment for her defense. The Livingston County District Attorney’s Office did appear to represent the People.

The Livingston County Drug Task Force is comprised of members of the following agencies, the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office, the Avon Police Department, the Caledonia Police Department, the Geneseo Police Department, the Dansville Police Department, the Mount Morris Police Department, the Nunda Police Department, the State University of Police at Geneseo, and the Livingston County District Attorney’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic Identification Unit (FIU) assisted with the investigation.
