Alfred Board adopts bond resolution admendment

Notice is hereby given that at its April 9, 2024 meeting the Village Board of  Trustees of the Village of Alfred (the "Village") adopted a resolution that amends and restates a previously adopted bond resolution (dated August 27, 2018) for a sewer system capital improvements project in order to (A) increase the estimated maximum cost of the project from $2,000,000 to $2,700,000 and (B) increase the amount of serial bonds authorized to be issued from $2,000,000 to $2,700,000. Such amending bond resolution was adopted because of a modification to the scope of the project and higher than anticipated costs for the project, the estimated maximum cost (as provided in the Original Bond Resolution) has increased. Such modified project will consist of various improvements to the existing processes including the influent structure, primary clarifiers, secondary clarifiers, bio-tower, controls, sand filters, pumps, solids handling, roof replacement, and digester polymer feed system improvements, as well as other improvements as more fully identified in ( or contemplated by) a preliminary engineering report prepared by Clark Patterson Lee, and including all preliminary work and necessary equipment, materials, and related site work and any preliminary costs and other improvements and costs incidental thereto and in connection with the financing thereof ( collectively, the "Purpose"). Such project cost will be offset by any federal, state, county, and/or local funds received. Such amending and restating resolution is subject to permissive referendum pursuant to New York law.
