Potter County man jailed on $75,000 cash bail

A preliminary hearing is pending for a Coudersport man who faces two serious felony crimes. Coudersport police on Thursday arrested Jason Alan Ayers, age 45. He was charged with aggravated assault during which police said he attempted to cause serious bodily injury or cause injury with extreme indifference as well as felony strangulation. Arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Bryan D. Phelps at 1:15 p.m., Ayers was remanded to the Potter County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 12th at 11 a.m.
