Details:
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of
Jordan C. Raynor, a 30-year-old male resident of Batavia, NY, following an
overnight residential burglary.
Jordan C. Raynor is accused of forcefully entering an
occupied residence on Jordan Road at approximately 3:47 AM this morning,
awaking a family with children while inside. Jordan Raynor fled the scene after
being confronted by the family, at which time the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office responded to the scene.
Following a search of the area by Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Deputies, with assistance from New York State Police, Jordan Raynor was located
inside a vacant residence which was currently being renovated. Deputies entered
the vacant structure, confronted the suspect, and successfully took Jordan
Raynor into custody. Jordan Raynor was found to be a convicted felon, and he
was found to be on probation out of Genesee County from a conviction for
Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Jordan Raynor was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree
[Class C Violent Felony], Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, and
Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Raynor was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court,
where bail was set in the amount of $25,000.00 cash, $75,000.00 bond, or
$100,000.00 partially secured bond.
The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office continues to
investigate, as it is believed Jordan Raynor approached multiple residences in
the Jordan Road area overnight. Further charges for Jordan Raynor are pending,
and there is no threat to public safety at this time. Any residents in the area
who find footprints, damage, or have home security videos with pertinent
evidence, are asked to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at the
Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
