New York State Police blotter
1/17/24 20 p.m.: After investigating a fatal car crash in
the Town of Wellsville on June 2, 2023. State Troopers arrested a 17-year-old
from Alma. The suspect was charged with felony criminally
negligent homicide. The teen was held on bail.

On June 2, 2023, at 6:01 P.M., Troopers out of SP Amity responded to a two-vehicle collision on State Route 417 in the town of Wellsville. Investigation determined that a 2015 Nissan was traveling west bound on State Route 417, operated by a 17-year-old of Alma, NY and crossed the center line. The Nissan struck a 2013 Ford head-on. The operator of the Ford, Courtney M. Clark, 32 of Emporium, PA was pronounced deceased at the scene. Greenman was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital via Mercy Flight with serious injuries.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation.
1/17/24 4:34 p.m.: State Police arrested 32-year-old Dylan
M. Prescott for Portville. He was charged with abandonment of Animals stemming
from an incident December 11, 2023. Prescott was released on his own
recognizance.
