Two in custody after wild 107 mph pursuit between Wellsville and Andover

ORIGINAL STORY: If you own a police scanner, listen online or were traveling on East State Street in Wellsville or Andover Road, you heard or saw quite a sight during the 9 a.m. hour today. A State Trooper observed a suspicious vehicle and a computer check reportedly showed the Colorado license plate was stolen. The pursuit began, with speeds topping 107 mph. The chase went along East State Street when the vehicle launched over railroad tracks, traveled through a convenience store parking lot in Wellsville, then headed east again on East State Street. Highway crews were busy working at the intersection of East State Ext. and Andover Road at the time. According to Broadcastify reports, the vehicle traveled across the median, into a ditch...then gunned it headed east toward Andover. Numerous Troopers and Wellsville police engaged in the high-speed chase of the vehicle with a male driver and female passenger. The next thing heard is the Trooper reporting the vehicle crashed on State Route 417 at Dyke Road. The Trooper is then heard saying "he threw a shotgun off the bridge...he threw a shotgun off the bridge." Ambulances were called to evaluated the vehicle occupants. The highway was shut down as police investigated. This is a developing story...
