'Snow days' may end for New York schools

The state's Department of Education is beginning a one-year pilot program allowing school districts to pivot to remote learning during snow emergencies. Districts will have the option to continue instruction online during days when they would typically shut down. The pilot is in effect for this school year and will be reviewed after to determine if it should be continued.
