Ulysses, PA: Firefighter injured in alarm at pellet plant

A Ulysses, PA firefighter was injured as volunteers from three departments responded to a potential structure fire at PA Pellets, located at 958 Route 49 West. Fire crews from Ulysses, Genesee and Harrison Township were alerted at 7:15 p.m. The first chief on scene told 911 the fire was contained to a blower unit at the facility. During the alarm, a Ulysses firefighter fell about ten feet and sustained a lower leg/ankle injury. The volunteer was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Crews remained on scene for at least an hour.
