Allegany County to set tower rental rate

Allegany County owns several towers and it hopes to cash in on them. When the county legislature meets on Monday, it will vote on a resolution to set a rental rate on its tower sites of $275 per month per antenna through 2023 for local development corporations. The resolution says "Allegany County recognizes that it has viable infrastructure that can be utilized to deploy fixed wireless solutions across the county."
In other proposals -
  • The legislature will be asked to appoint Edward Zalar of Cuba to the Allegany County land bank Corporation Board of Directors;
  • Approve reappointments to the Youth Board of Deborah Aumick of Rushford, Sherry Weirich of Scio and Amy Jacobson of Alfred.
  • Appoint Josh Ormsby of Alfred station to the Allegany County Soil and Water Conservation District Board as the County Grange appointee.
  • Re-appropriate unexpended 2018 grant funds for the Office of Emergency Services in the amount of $10,325 as follows:
