We wanted to clarify the statistics between our page and the
NYS tracker. We are providing true and accurate information. Numbers relating
to positive COVID-19 individuals and fatalities are reviewed by our team daily.
The numbers being reported on the NYS tracker display differ because the State
uses results from a reporting system and does not perform checks to ensure that
all the data is pertinent to the county in question. This appears to be an
issue for several other counties as well. At this time, per information from
the State, it is not possible to make updates to the NYS tracker to resolve the
apparent discrepancies.
