The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a Red Flag
Warning for a combination of gusty winds and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 10 AM this morning to 11 PM EDT this evening.
* Affected Area...Steuben Schuyler Chemung Tioga Broome and Sullivan Counties in New York.
* Timing...Late this morning through this evening.
* Winds...West 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
* Relative Humidity...Falling to 25 to 30 percent this afternoon.
* Temperatures...In the upper 40s to mid 50s.
* Impacts...Critical fire weather conditions likely. Increased risk for rapid wildfire growth and spread.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
