OLEAN - Three people were arrested Friday evening at approximately 5:30 p.m. for drug charges stemming from a call. Patrol officers and the street crimes unit responded to in a parking lot of a business located at 415 North Union Street.
During the investigation of the original call of suspicious activity by these people, Police say they located materials used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription pills and a hypodermic needle containing drugs.
Arrested were:
-Richard Hopkins, 34, of Olean for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree and criminal possession of methamphetamine materials 2nd degree.
-J B Spates, 41, of Cuba for criminal possession of marijuana 5th degree.
-Margaret Rodgers, 28, of Cuba for criminally possessing a hypodermic instrument.
All three were issued appearance tickets to appear in Olean City court at a later date.
