Fassett Lane Building and Home Center in Wellsville is
officially under new ownership and a re-grand opening is planned for next
week. The deal was was finalized April 2nd.
The new owners are no strangers to the business…Dan Peters has worked there for
thirty-eight years and Butch Calcote has been there twenty-four years. The
company first opened in Wellsville in 1979.
Calcote tells us the grand opening is set for next Thursday, Friday and
Saturday (May 2-4). A ribbon cutting ceremony
is planned for Thursday May 2nd at a time to be announced. The Home
Center is open seven days a week and the new owners hope to add new events and
seminars to the lineup. You can find them on Facebook (@FassettLaneLumber).

Calcote said this morning that the business is a significant
supporter of community events. He noted they sponsor a Little League team,
charitable benefits, volunteers and emergency services, churches and Habitat
for Humanity, to name a few. He said he and Peters had been thinking about
purchasing the business “for several years.” Their opportunity came when former
owner, Dr. Peder J. Hancher decided to retire. The business is located at 4301
Fassett Lane in Wellsville. Phone 585-593-2596.
