The Board of Directors of the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce announced this morning that Alan Mosher of Wellsville has agreed to serve as the next Executive Director of the organization. Mosher succeeds interim officer-in-charge, Neil Benedict who has served in a volunteer capacity since November.
Mosher is a life-long Wellsville-area resident and a retired business owner. From 1973 until 1998, Al was owner and president of Fred Roberts Auto Parts, Inc. In 1998, he became general manager of Middle Atlantic Automotive Warehouse of Buffalo and later served as director of PBE Sales and Product Development for UniSelect USA and finally as director of PBE Products for IEH Auto Parts/Pep Boys based in Philadelphia.
Al is a dedicated Wellsville supporter, having served as Past President of the United Way and as Past President of the Wellsville Lions Club Al is currently president of the Wellsville Central School Board of Education and a member of the Alfred State College Council.
Al and Nancy, his wife are the parents of three grown daughters. In announcing Mosher’s selection for the role, Benedict indicated that he, “could not be more pleased and that there was no one more capable of leading the Chamber than Al Mosher.” Mosher starts his duties on May 1, 2019.
