Black Creek man faces felony charge after Hinsdale crash

Cattaraugus County deputies arrested a man from Black Creek after he crashed his vehicle on Wagner Hill Road in Hinsdale. The incident occurred shortly after midnight on Monday. Deputies said they arrested Jacob Wilcox, 20, of County Road 41. He was charged with felony driving while ability impaired by drugs. Deputies allege that Wilcox was under the influence of marijuana when he crashed with a passenger under the age of sixteen in the vehicle. Wilcox was transported to the Salamanca Police Department for an evaluation by a Drug Recognition Expert. He was additionally charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to keep right. Wilcox was released on appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Hinsdale court.
