Obituary: Loretta M. Witt, 86, of Cuba

Loretta M. Witt Loving Mother and Grandmother

Loretta M. Witt, 86, of Cuba, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Olean General Hospital after a brief illness. Born on May 28, 1932, in Lockport, she was a daughter of Jesse James and Edith Irene Williams Lederhouse.  On November 24, 1951, in East Aurora, she married Frederick W. Witt who predeceased her. Loretta was a loving mother that enjoyed raising her family and spending time with them.  For several years she was a housekeeper at the Kinney II.  She also enjoyed playing bingo. She leaves behind four sons, Charles (Jean) Witt of Cuba, Jeffrey Witt of Cuba, Matthew Witt of Portville, Frederick (Amanda) Witt, Jr. of Great Valley; two daughters, Donna (Burt) Weatherly of Cuba, Catherine (John) Cross of Friendship; 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a brother, Michael (Marge) Lederhouse of St. Petersburg, Florida; a sister, Pauline Perkins of Lockport; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Harold, Howard, Lawrence, Vincent, Dick, Ruth, and Rosaline. Visitation will be held at the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home & Memorial Service, Inc., 9 Bull Street Cuba, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 from 10-11:00 a.m. at which time funeral services will be held.  The Rev. Robert Grimes and Rev. Duane Broadwell, will co-officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Friendship, New York.
