Allegany County Judge orders Cuba man to prison
A Cuba man was sentenced to prison this morning after pleading guilty to attempted burglary. Shawn E. Roney, 24, was originally charged with three felony counts of each of burglary and criminal possession of stolen property. However, Roney's attorney John Nelson arranged for a plea deal. Assistant District Attorney Tom Fuoco prosecuted the case. Roney was accused of breaking into three homes in the village of Cuba and stealing various property. Allegany County Judge Terry Parker also ordered Roney to serve five years post release supervision and pay a surcharge and DNA fee.
