UPDATE: Former Wellsville man seeking office in PA has outstanding warrants from Wellsville

Earlier today, I posted a story about a former Wellsville man (now living in Bradford, PA) who wants to run for the Pennsylvania State House. There's a problem...he has multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest in Wellsville. In a front page story today in the Bradford Era, Ronald McGonigle announced he was challenging long time state Rep. Martin Causer. Numerous sources directed information my way - he's wanted by the Wellsville police department.

Sources explained and it was confirmed online that he is wanted for a bench warrant (writing bad checks) and also has a probation warrant. However, I'm told there is no extradition for those warrants in Pennsylvania. That information was forwarded to The Era as a courtesy. It apparently can't stop his run, but it is valuable information.
The original post is HERE.

NEW UPDATE (2-27):
McGonicle, who later admitted he has outstanding warrants on Facebook, says he plans to address the warrants. In a Facebook post, he said it’s because of these situations in life that helped him decide to run, because he wants to try and prevent kids from going through these situations and have opportunities that he didn't have.
