Fillmore - Helen I. Preston of 131 W. Main Street, died Monday, February 19, 2018 in Suzanne’s Comfort Care Home in Perry. She was born on July 3, 1926 in the town of Hume, a daughter of the late George and Neva Buchholz Bennett. She married Robert S. Preston who predeceased her on Sept. 4, 1987.
She loved to knit, crochet, make quilts and learn how to
make new craft projects. She fondly remembers the friends she made working at
the Fillmore Knitting Mill.
Surviving are two sons, Terry (Debi) Preston of Turlock, Ca,
Dale (Koko) Preston of Fillmore, several grandchildren and great grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased
by seven brothers and two sisters.
A graveside service will be held in Alger Cemetery,
Fillmore. Memorials if desired to: Brooks Hose Co. or Fillmore Rescue Squad
