Allegany County: Contractor screws homeowners - judge says 'pay the money back'

An unscrupulous contractor will need to open his wallet to pay back the people he screwed in Allegany County. A judge accepted a plea deal from felony grand larceny to misdemeanor petit larceny for Michael Oldfield, 50, of Dansville. ADA Thomas Fuoco said Oldfield agreed to do pole barn work, grabbed the deposit...and walked away. The victims were in Clarksville from 2015 and New Hudson in 2016. Oldfield was sentenced to time served in jail but was also directed to make total restitution in the amount of $17,000.
