Maxwell E. “Max” Halladay, 77, of Wellsville, NY, died
Thursday, January 11, 2018 in his home.
Born May 13, 1940, in St. Marys, PA, he was the son of Lewis and Gladys
Shelley Halladay. On February 1, 1959,
in Oswayo, PA, he married the former Marguerite Cole, who survives. Surviving besides his wife, Marguerite,
are: three children, Susan (Wayne) Reed
of Scio, NY, Maxwell (Daphne) Halladay, Jr. of Wellsville, and Sara (Ronald)
Phippen of Leola, PA; six grandchildren,
Joni, Jim, Shawn, David, Bill, and Steve;
eight great-grandchildren, TJ, Maggie, Madelyn, Andrew, Abby, Brayden,
Xavier, and Gunner; seven sisters,
Loretta (Barton) Landon, Faith (Norm) Hurd, Freda (John) Ullrich, Nancy
Shoemaker, Rose Reynolds, Roxanne (Lanny) Schuckers, Madeline Halladay; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters, Furella
Barrett and Mazie Collins; two brothers,
Marvin Halladay and David Halladay; and
a granddaughter, Virginia Halladay.
Friends may call at Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home, Wellsville, NY on
Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00, with Funeral Services following
at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Gene Miller will
officiate. Burial will be in Yorks
Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made
