James G. “Jim” Jordan, 89, of 8979 Daggett Hollow Rd.,
passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Cuba Memorial Hospital’s Palliative
Care Unit after a lengthy illness. Born on July 18, 1928, in Clarksville, New
York, he was a son of Gerald “Bill” Grace Hunt Jordan. On August 4, 1948 at the Haskell Community
Church he married his wife of 69 years the former Lois I. Frost who survives. Jim
was employed as a truck driver delivering feed for Away for most of his career
and retired in 1994.
He was a member of the West Clarksville Baptist Church, and
loved to ride his motorcycle with the Christian Motorcycle Association.
Jim was an avid outdoorsmen that enjoyed traveling, hunting,
fishing, and tending to his vegetable gardens.
For many years he raised registered beagles and enjoyed water skiing and
boating with his children on both Cuba and Rushford Lakes.
In addition to his wife he is survived his three daughters, Nancy
(Michael) Henneman of Spencerport, Dawn (Mark) Linderoth of Spencerport, Janet (Steven) Bell of Portville; a niece
Janice Jordan-Kidd, Shinglehouse, PA; Several Nieces and nephews. In addition
to his parents he was predeceased by a daughter Sandra Jordan whom died in
infancy.
Friends will be received at the West Clarksville Baptist
Church, 9003 Daggett Hollow Rd, Bolivar, NY 14715 on Sunday, January 14, 2018
from 2-4 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Monday,
January 15, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. The Rev.
Wayne Hart will officiate. Burial will be in West Genesee Cemetery, Town of
Genesee. Arrangements are under direction of the Mark F. Rinker Funeral Home
& Memorial Service, Inc., Cuba. Memorials may be made to the West
