UR Medicine | Noyes Health Employees Give Back! Basket Raffle Raises Nearly $6,000 for Area Charities


(Dansville, NY) The staff of UR Medicine | Noyes Health raised $5,881 for area charities at its annual employee benefits fair on December 6. Various departments throughout the health system created gift baskets to be raffled off at the annual event. Employees chose three local charities to support. With every ticket purchased, one dollar went to the employee’s charity of choice.


"Staff members in nearly every department came together to come up with a theme and gather items for the gift baskets," explains Amy Pollard, UR Medicine | Noyes Health CEO, "It’s an opportunity for Noyes Staff to give back to their community, a community which supports the hospital in so many ways."

The Cancer Comfort Bag Project will receive $1,855.00. Dansville’s Jennifer Howe started the organization, which provides care packages to cancer patients and survivors locally and around the country, two years ago.

The Santa Hat Society, an organization started by Dansville teenager Mary Kate Brushafer to provide holiday gifts for local families in need, received $1,838.00.

Hearthside Cats, the Geneseo-based organization that promotes responsible pet ownership and rescues and provides medical care to homeless cats and kittens, received $2,188.00.
