Hackers Hit Schuyler Co. Communications

Schuyler County officials say that roughly two weeks ago, hackers were able to gain access to the entire county’s communications system, including the 911 center.  County Administrator Tim O’Hearn said that while the county had anti-virus and anti-malware protection, the attack was very sophisticated.  It’s currently being investigated on state and federal levels.  Despite being hit, the 911 center was still able to receive and dispatch calls.  O’Hearn says he’s been told no personal information was stolen.
