The Allegany Senior Foundation is sponsoring its annual
“Swingin’ to the Oldies” fundraiser Saturday, June 3rd, from 4 to 9 p.m. The
evening promises good music, food, and an awesome basket auction.
“We’re looking forward to another great party,” said Reita
Sobeck-Lynch, President of the Senior Foundation. “L’Italia is catering the
dinner, and the Jazz Ninjas will be playing all evening. There will be a cash
bar serving wine and beer, and we have assorted homemade desserts.”
All proceeds from the event will go to the Office for the
Aging’s Meals-on-Wheels program serving Allegany County. The evening has many
corporate and private sponsors. “The money goes straight to food costs,” explained
Madeleine Gasdik, Director of the Office for the Aging. “We’re facing
uncertainty with future funding. Support from the Senior Foundation allows us
to provide meals to everyone who needs them, without having to start a waiting
list.”
Swingin’ to the Oldies is held at the Activities Center on
the Wellsville Campus of Alfred State College. Tickets are $20 each, or 4 for
$70 and can be purchased at Trend Addictions in Wellsville or from any member of
the Senior Foundation.
