Wellsville man receives probation on weapons charge

In Allegany County court Thursday,  Danny L. Mattison, 50, of Miller Road in Wellsville was sentenced to three years probation. In a deal, he pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. He was originally charged with a felony. Mattison, a convicted felon, cannot possess a firearm. Judge Thomas Brown handed down the sentence.
