Alfred police say a Tioga County (NY) man wasn't injured when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway on South Main Street in Alfred and struck a tree Thursday morning. Police Chief Paul Griffith said 33-year-old Paul Napier, of Candor, the operator, was driving from Wellsville to Hornell when he fell asleep at the wheel.
Griffith said "his license at the time of the accident was suspended and (he) was issued tickets for aggravated unlicensed operation and failure to keep right."
