Andover residents: Incumbents are posting a lot of things
that should have been started at the beginning of their term. Even a lot of
ideas they are posting now were suggested by the Concerned Citizens 2 years
ago. They have done very little on shared services which were suggested 2 years
ago. They have gotten 1 grant for a water study 2 years ago to try upgrade
water lines that were installed several years ago. Our street has no new water
lines but yet we are paying for the new ones installed. Our water pressure is
terrible to say at best. We are on a dead end of the old water line and we
can’t drink the water and have been buying drinking water for years. We have
brought this to the attention of the village yet nothing has been about it and
this was 2-3 years ago. Now the incumbents say they want to seek grants and
outside funding to improve our infrastructure which they have never mentioned
before. There would be money in our general fund and from chips money to have
been doing a lot of infrastructure repair if it was not wasted on equipment as
it has been. The sewer and wastewater that the incumbents mention were brought
up by the Concerned Citizens over 2 years ago. It is very hard to achieve
growth when the village is deteriorating before your eyes as you can drive
around and witness for yourselves. As far as responsive government,
accountability, efficient and effective village government the incumbents
should get a dictionary to see the definition of these terms as they have not
even been close to accomplishing these. And as far as developing realistic
solutions and financial constraints they have none. That is why the village has
no money to do anything on infrastructure or anything else. The fiscal
constraint by the incumbents was accomplished by spending all the money on
unnecessary equipment so they have had no money to spend. All of it has been
going toward equipment they leased to buy. Plus we the taxpayers get to pay the
interest on those loans also. I urge the residents of Andover to put in a write
in vote for Matt Zengerle for Mayor, and vote for Pat Vance, Mike Dibble, and
Rob Carter for trustees. We would also like comments and will open up the
channels for the village residents for communications and if elected we will
use a large pool of talent from our local residents to revitalize Andover. In
closing I would like people to write to the Regional News and let us know their
thoughts on nonresident village employees using the village equipment and
village water for washing personal vehicles on Sundays among other things.
Would this be a question for the Mayor or the village Superintendent? We do
have a video of this happening on Sunday March 20th for anybody interested. We
urge residents to vote for the challengers to bring Andover back. Thank you.
