-Wellsville Police arrested Wendy L. Mash, age 58 of Bolivar, charging her with Fail to Safely Store Firearms 1st (Class A Misdemeanor). The charge stems from an incident that took place on School Street on May 11th. Mash was processed, issued an appearance ticket and released. Mash is due to appear in Wellsville Village Court on June 18th at 4:30 pm.
-Wellsville Police arrested Jonathan T. Russell, age 41 currently incarcerated in the Allegany County Jail, charging him with Menacing 2nd (Class A Misdemeanor), Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (Class A Misdemeanor) and Harassment 2nd (Violation). The charges stem from incidents that took place in September of 2022. Russell also had a Bench Warrant for failure to appear on September 20, 2022 on a previous Disorderly Conduct charge. Russell was transported from the jail, processed and arraigned before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson. Russell was returned to the Allegany County Jail and is due back in Wellsville Village Court on July 16th at 4:30 pm.
-Wellsville Police
arrested Jeremy R. Ostrander, age 36 of Olean, charging him with Misapplication
of Property (Class A Misdemeanor). The
charge stems from a complaint made by Champion Rent to Own in February of
2021. Ostrander was released from the
Allegany County Jail and transported to Wellsville, processed and arraigned
before Wellsville Village Justice Thompson.
Ostrander was released and is due back in Wellsville Village Court at a
later date.
