On May 30th, 2024, at approximately 9:40am, following a report of a 911 hang up, Cuba Police arrested Richard D. Joy (38) of Black Creek, NY. Joy was arrested on an active warrant issued out of Erie County. While executing this arrest warrant Joy became combative and was charged with resisting arrest (Misdemeanor) and obstruction of governmental administration (Misdemeanor). Joy was processed, placed in front of a judge and released to appear at a later date. Joy was then turned over to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office. Joy is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
