Russell L. Lowman “beloved father and grandfather”
TURTLEPOINT, Pa.---Russell L. Lowman, 82, a lifelong
resident of Turtlepoint, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Sena Kean
Manor, Smethport, from complications of COVID-19.
Born on Saturday, July 16, 1938, in Olean, N.Y., he was a son of
Chester and Daisy Belle Lowman. He was
married to Judy K. Lowman, who passed away on June 10, 2015.
Russell was a graduate of Port Allegany High School. He was employed at the former Ethan Allen in
Eldred until his retirement.
He was a member of Port Allegany Alliance Church. Russell enjoyed gardening and spending time
with his family.
Surviving are a son, Christopher R. “Chris” (Leoma) Lowman of
Eldred; four grandchildren, Kristopher E. Lowman, Elizabeth R. Lowman, Mikayla
L. Post, and Alex L. Post; a brother, Robert (Brenda) Lowman of Florida; and
several nieces and nephews.
Russell was
predeceased by his parents and wife.
In keeping the family’s wishes, there will be no public
visitation or funeral services. Burial
will be in Portage Valley Cemetery in Wrights.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the
donor’s choice.
Russell’s family has entrusted his care and cremation
arrangements to Kevin J. Dusenbury, funeral director/owner of the Virgil L.
Howard Funeral Home, Shinglehouse.
