Born in Ellenville, NY, January 11, 1919 ,he moved to this area in 1962. Bill retired from the Bath Veterans Administration Center where he worked as a carpenter retiring after 25 years of service. Bill was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving from 1945-1947.
He was a member of the Canisteo American Legion Post. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Christine Eck who passed away on December 25, 2020, his son; Richard Eck and two daughters; Darlene and Sharon. He is survived by his sons; Charles Miller or Oregon, Scott (Doris) Miller of Hornell and Wayne Eck of Greenwood, his sister; Grace Banks of Downsville, NY, 5 grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Dudley Jenkins officiating, Burial with military honors will follow at Hartsville Center Cemetery.
