WELLSVILLE — Could the Village of Wellsville look to its past to determine the future of the Municipal Building?
An Allegany County legislator thinks it should.
Bill Dibble visited Monday night’s village board meeting to present his idea to utilize the Municipal Building as an “electronic library.” Dibble suggested the village donate the former village and town hall to the David A. Howe Public Library. Dibble envisions the Howe Library utilizing the building as a secondary location dedicated to digital pursuits, outfitted with computers and learning stations — “an internet cafe without the cafe,” as Mayor Randy Shayler put it.
