Reed criticizes NY's COVID vaccine rollout - WHAM

From 13 WHAM, Rochester

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Tom Reed (R-NY) is criticizing Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s vaccine rollout.

Reed says the governor needs to put less blame on the federal government for not being able to keep up with the demand.

Instead, he suggests the state should be reducing eligibility to put less stress on the distribution system.

“If you look at other states around the country, they have tailored their pool of 1B eligible people to more restrictively handle that population in a way that more matched the supply chain that is coming in from the federal government Operation Ward Speed projections,” Reed said during a conference call Wednesday. The congressman added he supports the federal government taking over New York’s vaccination program.
