TUESDAY A.M. Update: Potter County Count Passes 800 Mark

There were 143 more COVID-19 coronavirus cases and eight more deaths related to the virus across the region between Sunday and Monday, suggesting a reduction in the spread of the disease in some communities. There were seven new cases and another death in Potter County. The county’s active case count stands at approximately 95, with the most infections in the Coudersport, Shinglehouse and Austin areas. 

Also between Sunday and Monday, there 21 more cases and another death in McKean County; 10 more cases in Tioga; one more cases and one death in Cameron; 39 cases and one death in Lycoming; 6 cases in Elk; nine cases and one death in Clinton; 16 cases and one death in Cattaraugus County, N.Y.; and 16 cases and one death in Allegany County, N.Y. Entering Monday, overall case counts since the virus was detected stood as follows: Potter, 805 cases and 18 deaths; Tioga, 2,219 cases, 88 deaths; McKean, 2,568 cases, 54 deaths; Cattaraugus, 3,623 cases, 63 deaths; Allegany, 2,522 cases, 75 deaths; Clinton, 2,437 cases, 47 deaths; Elk, 2,064 cases, 31 deaths; Cameron, 229 cases, 7 deaths; and Lycoming, 7,799 cases, 197 deaths. Statewide, there have been 807,867 cases and 20,664 deaths
