On January 9, 2021 at approximately 9:35 a.m. Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to an address on River Road for the report of a stolen vehicle. Deputies were advised that an unknown individual stole a 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck from the location.
The on scene investigation identified the suspect as 28-year-old Alan J. Warren of Fillmore, NY. Sheriff’s Deputies and Sheriff’s Investigators were led to multiple areas in the City of Rochester in an attempt to locate the vehicle. The vehicle was eventually located in a parking lot in the Town of Henrietta. A short time later, Warren was located in the area and taken into custody.
Sheriff’s Deputies arrested and charged Warren with felony Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree.
Warren was turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention. The offense qualified for pre-arraignment detention under the NYS Justice Reform Act; however, a Judge may not set bail under the law and the individual must be released.
Warren was later arraigned at the Livingston County Centralized Arraignment Part (LCCAP) at the Livingston County Jail before Town of Livonia Justice Robert Lemen.
The Judge released Warren on his own recognizance.
The incident was investigated by members of the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations Division, and Forensic Identification Unit under the command leadership of Sheriff’s Sergeant Chad Draper.
