Below are some clarifications on the new 10 p.m. closure requirements that were announced by Goc. Cuomo on Wednesday.
- The bar or restaurant must CLOSE at 10PM -- last call must take place before 10PM.
- This applies to social clubs such as Elks, American Legions, Ancient Order of Hibernians, Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy etc.
- This applies to restaurants without liquor licenses. (They could continue delivery/to go service)
- 24 hour establishments such as diners may reopen at 5AM.
- This applies to casinos – the entire casino floor operation must close at 10PM – not just the bars, restaurants, and drink service.
- This applies to movie theaters that have State Liquor Authority (SLA) licenses. If a movie theater has an SLA license all movies in the theater have to be over and closed by 10PM.
