Allegany County: Official Election results released-Pearson wins Trustee seat in Wellsville, Wirt voters reject two propositions

It seems like every news story should begin with, "It's 2020 after all." 

The Allegany County Board of Elections has released the official election results from November 3rd. Those results will be certified by the Election Commissioners on November 28th.

Gary Pearson won the write-in race for Wellsville Village trustee. But he had some competition...there were write-in votes for Bill Ryan, Andrew Harris, Tim Aiken...and a bunch more.

In the Town of Wirt, despite the results on Election night, after absentee ballots were counted, both propositions regarding the highway superintendent and town clerk were rejected...by five votes each.

In the Village of Angelica, there was an empty Justice seat. Nobody ran. Nobody offered a write-in where, literally, one vote would have elected somebody. The result? NO candidate was elected. Here are the official results:
