ACAF Scholarship Application Is Open
Allegany County high school seniors and graduates in college, please note that the Allegany County Area Foundation online scholarship application is now open and will be available through January 31.
ACAFs endowment supports 35 scholarship programs which, along with a few programs funded annually, are providing $275,000 in scholarships this current academic year. Students pursuing two-year, four-year, trade, vocational and technical programs, and graduate/professional school can apply. ACAF’s scholarships are affiliated with Dollars for Scholars.
Students can access the application through the ACAF website. Click on the Scholarships tab along the top of the page and select Online Application from the dropdown menu. From the following page, click on Students and Parents in the upper right.
On the same Scholarship drop down menu (from the ACAF main page) click on Scholarship Timeline and there you will find links to tips on applying for the first time, and as a repeat applicant. From the ACAF Facebook page you can access a video that provides an application overview and a closer look at parts of the application that students sometimes find challenging.
