Belmont Fire Department received an award notification through the SAFER grant for $28,550 for recruitment and retention. These funds will be used for purchasing a new led sign board that will be placed out front of the building. It will be set up to be easily moved to a new location if and when we are able to construct and new building.
Communication is a critical key for us and this new sign it will allow us to post updated information in the quickest way possible. We believe that posting information on this sign will help with recruitment and retention of members. We currently have 32 volunteer members leaving our roster shy of being full by 8 people.
