Transportation, and COVID-19 Statistic Update
Governor Cuomo issued an Executive Order requiring all New
York residents to wear a mask or face covering when out in public and in
settings where social distancing measures are difficult to maintain to aid in
preventing the transmission of the COVID-19 virus.
Please be advised that effective Friday, April 17, 2020, all
individuals riding the Public Transit System must have a mask or mouth/nose
cloth covering in order to board and ride the Access Allegany buses. Any person
trying to enter the bus without a mask or mouth/nose covering, will not allowed
on the buses. In addition, all Access Allegany bus drivers have been instructed
to encourage additional social distancing with riders by having them physically
separate on the buses.
In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected
644,746 people, and there have been 28,593 deaths. In New York State, there
have been 213,779 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 12,192 deaths
statewide with 606 deaths in the last 24 hours. As of 2:00 p.m. on April 16,
2020, Allegany County’s COVID-19 statistics are as follows:
Confirmed Cases: 29
Recovered Cases: 22
COVID-19 Related Deaths: 1
Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date: 358
Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 314
Currently Quarantined/Isolated: 44
