COVID-19 Statistic Update
In the United States, the COVID-19 virus has infected more than 609,900 people, and there have been more than 26,000 deaths. In New York State, there have been more than 203,300 confirmed COVID-19 cases, and there have been 11,586 deaths statewide with 752 deaths in the last 24 hours. As of 2:30 p.m. on April 15, 2020, Allegany County’s COVID-19 statistics are as follows:
Confirmed Cases: 28
Recovered Cases: 22
COVID-19 Related Deaths: 1
Total Quarantined/Isolated to Date: 351
Released from Quarantine/Isolation: 303
Currently Quarantined/Isolated: 48
The best way to fight this deadly virus is by staying home. If you can’t stay home, please practice social distancing, remain diligent with personal hand hygiene, and limit exposure throughout your community. By avoiding contact with others, we will slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus and hopefully protect our most vulnerable citizens from contracting the COVID-19 virus.
