Storms cause power outages UPDATED

Strong storms made some noise as they marched across the area overnight. The most significant damage was in areas to the west of Allegany County. However, thunderstorms did cause some power interruptions.
National Grid reported 122 customers in Scio lost power. Power lines dropped on State Route 19 on Riverside Drive and on Back River Road. Power restoration was expected by 2 a.m.
In Clarksville, RG&E said 236 customers went dark. Power was restored by 2 a.m.
At 5 a.m. NYSEG reported 2,573 customers without power mostly in Addison, Woodhull and Troupsburg. First Energy showed 19 customers in Roulette without power.
A tornado watch had been issued for Allegany County, but that was canceled shortly before midnight.
