Shults Retires from Steuben Trust Board

HORNELL- At the April 11 Steuben Trust Company Board meeting, David A. Shults retired after 48 years of service to Steuben Trust Company as Director. Mr. Shults has also served as Chairman of the Board for 28 of those years, since March 23, 1991.
Our Board and staff are very grateful to David for his distinguished service and ongoing significant contributions to the growth and success of Steuben Trust, and commitment to our employees and the communities we serve. We are equally appreciative of his willingness to serve as Special Counsel to the Board for the coming year. His plan is to also retire as a Director of the Corporation on June 13, 2019. Additionally, at the meeting, the Board unanimously elected Brenda L. Copeland as Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Steuben Trust Company. Mrs. Copeland has served the Company for 16 years as CEO as well as most recently Vice Chair of the Board of Directors. Steuben Trust Corp. is the parent of Steuben Trust Company chartered by NYS in 1902 and member of FDIC. The Bank currently operates fifteen offices in Steuben, Allegany, Livingston, Monroe, Wyoming, and Erie Counties, as well as a representative office in Erie County.
