The public hearing is your chance to express your opinions
on services for the elderly in Allegany County to the Office for the Aging
staff, its Advisory Council, and your County Legislators.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and donuts and
the Public Hearing will begin at 9:00.
At 10:30 our Guest Speaker, Leita King, Scam Prevention Coordinator at
Lifespan, Inc., will speak on how to stay Scam Free. A person’s best defense against Scams, Identity
Theft, and Fraud is knowledge! Learn how
you can protect yourself and your loved ones from scammers. A hot nutritious lunch will be served at
12:00 noon.
There is no charge for this event. Attendees will be offered a chance to
contribute $3.00 towards their lunch. We
need reservations so we can be sure to have a lunch for you. If you are interested in attending either the
