Fillmore boys face drug counts

L-R: Evans, Warran

Press Release:
INTERSTATE 390: Sheriff Thomas J. Dougherty reports the arrest of two Fillmore, NY residents after a traffic stop on Interstate 390.
On April 6, 2018 Deputy Shawn Whitford was assigned to the Sheriff’s Office “Operation Safe Interstate” initiative when he stopped a vehicle on Interstate 390 in the Town of Geneseo for a violation of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Following an extensive roadside investigation the driver of the vehicle, 21 year old Tyler L. Evans, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree after he was allegedly found to be in possession of Tramadol pills, which are a controlled substance and Evans did not have a prescription for them.
The passenger in the vehicle, 26 year old Alan J. Warran, was charged with False Personation, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Hypodermic Instrument after it was discovered he had originally provided a false name and that he was in possession of heroin, several hypodermic needles, and a smoking device.
Evans was found to be on parole and Warran was found to be on probation.
Both Warren and Evans were turned over to Central Booking Deputies at the Livingston County Jail for processing and pre-arraignment detention.
The two were later arraigned in the Town of York Court before Judge Porter. The Judge did remand Warren to the custody of the Sheriff on $750 cash bail or $1,500 bond and Evans on $500 cash or $1,000 bond. Due to Evans parole status he is also being held on a parole detainer.
Sergeant Ryan Swanson and K9 Gibbs assisted on scene.
