McKean County Deputy arrested for allegedly stealing Nazi flag

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Friday for the McKean County Deputy Sheriff who was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police. 23-year-old Collin Meeker of Smethport was charged by Troopers with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, defiant trespass and tampering with property.  Meeker is accused of entering private property while on duty,in uniform with a patrol vehicle and removing a Nazi-themed flag located on the property of a white supremacist group in Ulysses. Deputy Meeker was in the area serving court papers when the alleged incident occurred. The Deputy was arraigned and released on his own recognizance. Meeker has been suspended without pay.
