In 1959, Harry Crosier entered the New York State Police Academy, and 30 years later, his son, Scott Michael Crosier followed his footsteps and entered the State Police. Yesterday, a third generation in the Crosier family graduated from the State Police Academy, Harry's grandson, and Scotts son, Michael Scott.
The State Police was established 100 years ago in 1917, and the Crosier family has been part of the great tradition for over 60 of those years.
When Harry retired, he was able to give his son Scott, who is a Colonel in the State Police, his shield number, and when Scott retires, he will turn his shield over to his son.
It's truly a great story of a family dedicated to service and law enforcement.
