...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM FRIDAY TO 1 PM EST
SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Rain changing to freezing rain and sleet Friday
afternoon, then heavy snow expected Friday evening through
Saturday morning. Travel will be very difficult, including a
slippery Friday evening commute. Total snow accumulations of 7
to 14 inches and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an
inch are expected.
* WHERE...Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
* WHEN...From 1 PM Friday to 1 PM EST Saturday.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for a widespread, heavy and wet
snowfall that will create difficult travel conditions across the
region. The rain and freezing rain at the onset of the event,
followed by heavy snowfall, will create extra slippery travel
conditions.
